US Drinks 300 million cases in 2006
Written by Ian Robertson on 12th February 2007
The United States has drunk a reported 300 million cases of wine in the year 2006. This is almost enough to drink its way out of its own wine glut. It also supports the argument that it is one of the most rapidly expanding markets in the wine world. The US has trailed many other areas of the world such as the UK and Australia with only one in three adults consuming wine according to polls, so there is still a long way to go.
