Mattinson Wins Award

Written by Ian Robertson on 25th February 2007

Campbell Mattinson, the wine writer behind the winefront.com.au web site, has taken out the Saltram Wine Communicator Award for the second time for his book Wine Hunter.

The award, judged by Nigel Dolan (Senior Winemaker, Saltram) James Halliday (Wine Writer and former winner) Jancis Robinson (UK Wine Writer) and Wine Press Club of New South Wales President Darren Jahn, is the showcase for wine writing in Australia.

Wine Hunter is the account of the life of Maurice O'Shea, former Mount Pleasant winemaker. Wine Without Wank reviewed the book positively earlier in the year.
