Lowest Harvest In Seven Years Say AWBC

Written by Ian Robertson on 26th February 2007

The Australian Wine and Brandy Corporation have announced that they believe the 2007 harvest will be the lowest in seven years, easing pressure from the currant wine glut.

They have estimated the harvest at 1.35 mllion litres, making it a third smaller than 2006.

The prospects for quality have been pronounced as good - so what there is of 2007 is expected to be of quality.
