Fosters Keeps Wine Division

Written by Ian Robertson on 22nd February 2009

The Foster's Groups review of its underperforming wine division has been completed and an announcement made that it will be kept by the company.

In a market where it was unlikely that they would be able to sell any assets that were underperforming or not required, the company are instead going to shutdown wineries and vineyards that are not needed. This will also include 'decommissioning' a number of brands in the portfolio.

The announcement did not specify what brands would cease to exist - so more news to come on that front!
