Four Sisters Sauvignon Blanc Semillon 2004
Made by Four Sisters in Australia.
A dry, still, white wine with 12.5% alcohol tasted on 8th Feb 2005.
Grape: Sauvignon Blanc Semillon
Quality: Okay
Value: Above Average
Cost: Usually between $9.99 - $14.99.
Looks: Light, pale gold and slight green.
Smells: Fresh, zesty, citrus and apple.
Feels: Light
Tastes: Certainly not a powerful flavour, and you would have to be careful when dining with this wine not to have something that completely overpowers it. Good acid balance and some nice apple and citrus flavours in good balance. Simple, clean, does the job.
A mix of Australian and New Zealand fruit, by the way! (so not strictly Australian as I noted above!)
Possible retailers: Vintage Cellars, Theo's, BWS, Woolworths Liquor, Liquorland, Porters, Dan Murphy's, First Estate.
