Looks: Darker crimson in colour, with a medium looking body
Smells: Raspberry and hint of vanillan oak
Feels: Medium bodied
Tastes: Ashton Hills are fast earning a reputation with me as the most consistent Pinot producers in Australia. Vintage to vintage, hands down I have not tasted a year where they have struggled. This is a lovely lovely wine, and one that certainly is on the creamy mouthfeel side of the coin but retains all the fruit and zip to keep the balance. Length is decent if not massive, but everything else sits exactly in the wine where you would expect, like some jigsaw puzzle. Great winemaking. The price is ridonkulous. (is that how you spell that?)
