Tastes: Waiting for Australia to crack this grape? On this evidence, Tasmania is the place that will do it. An intensely floral wine with a beautiful steely centre, yet still gobs of tropical fruit - stone fruits, melons and nice line of grapefruit. Length is long and easy. Has that hallmark spice as well, and yes - this is the wine to have with your Thai food, espeically fish sauce.
