Saltram Shiraz 2003
Made by Saltram Wine Estates in Australia.
A dry, still, red wine with 13.5% alcohol tasted on 4th Mar 2005.
Grape: Shiraz
Quality: Okay
Value: Above Average
Cost: Usually between $7.99 - $11.99.
Looks: Full red purple - quite a young looking thing!
Smells: Quite full, spirity, earthy and dusty. Not in an unpleasant way, tho...
Feels: Medium light.
Tastes: Both dark and red berry and cherry, with a dark chocolate milkshake and coffee roundness. Quite complex for a so-called quaffer. Does finish a little too short, otherwise would rate higher.
Possible retailers: Theo's, BWS, Woolworths Liquor.
