The Black Chook Shiraz 2009
Made by Woop Woop Wines in Australia (region: McLaren Vale)
.
A dry, still, red wine with 14.5% alcohol tasted on 1st Oct 2011.
Grape: Shiraz
Quality: Okay
Value: Okay
Looks: Very dark red colour, full looking
Smells: Ripe red fruits
Feels: Full
Tastes: Cloying and ripe on entry, but once in the mouth not all that big a wine. Simple in texture but smooth, soft tannins and decent length. May struggle with some foods, but matches most pizza pasta nights.
Possible retailers: BWS.
