Vinecrest Rosé The Barossa Way 2007
Made by Vinecrest in Australia (region: Barossa Valley)
.
A Semi-Sweet, still, rosé wine with 12.5% alcohol tasted on 27th Oct 2007.
Grape: Shiraz
Quality: Below Par
Value: A Little Excessive
Cost: Usually between $16.00 - $16.00.
Looks: Pink salmon - very bright
Smells: Lolly raspberry - burnt sugar
Feels: Light
Tastes: Quite sweet lolly raspberry and strawberry fruit. Very slight CO2 giving the wine a little prickle. The acids are enough to save the wine from being sickly - but the burnt sugar aftertaste is still far too overpowering.
Possible retailers: Cellar Door / Web Site, Squashedgrape.
