Barossa Valley Estate E & E Black Pepper Shiraz 2003
Made by Barossa Valley Estate in Australia (region: Barossa Valley)
.
A dry, still, red wine with 15% alcohol tasted on 28th Nov 2007.
Grape: Shiraz
Quality: Outstanding
Value: A Little Excessive
Cost: Usually between $69.99 - $89.99.
Looks: Dark black colour, slightly brocking at the edge. Heavy looking.
Smells: Intense black and red berry fruit, spice
Feels: Heavy wine - not quite a monster, but getting there!
Tastes: Wonderful juice and wonderful oak make wonderful wine. The berry flavours here are ripe and intense without bing cloying - matched with beautiful cedar oak tones and lovely choc and spicey pepper dry finish that is very full and long, this is a very special wine. It seems to be underrated critically in recent vintages for mine - because this is a great wine!
Possible retailers: Vintage Cellars, Cellar Door / Web Site, Dan Murphy's, Winestar.
