Majella Cabernet Sauvignon 2005
Made by Majella in Australia (region: Coonawarra)
.
A dry, still, red wine with 14.5% alchohol tasted on 20th Dec 2007.
Grape: Cabernet Sauvignon
Quality: Very Good
Value: Okay
Cost: Usually between $32.99 - $42.99.
Looks: Dark purple with a medium to full body
Smells: Ripe round blackcurrant with licorice and cedar
Feels: Medium to full bodied
Tastes: This is a wine I tend to enjoy. More oak/cedar than some Coonawarra Cab, but the fruit and acids tend to suck it up well. Ripe ripping acidic blackcurrant with a coating of cedar and cocoa. Long length. Lovely wine - perhaps the 2004 was a little better to me, but there is not a lot seperating them.
Possible retailers: Vintage Cellars, Dan Murphy's, Kemeny's, 1st Choice.
