Peter Lehmann Barossa Riesling 2004
Made by Peter Lehmann in Australia (region: Barossa Valley)
.
A dry, still, white wine with 11.5% alcohol tasted on 17th Nov 2004.
Grape: Riesling
Quality: Good
Value: Good
Cost: Usually between $7.99 - $11.99.
Looks: Almost bright green! A slightly heavier body than a lot of Riesling.
Smells: Some slight steel, but mainly overripe citris fruit pierces.
Feels: Light - but again, heavier than a lot of riesling.
Tastes: Yowsers! A sharp attack of limey acid dominates from start to finish, making this a fairly one dimesional wine, but a damn tasty one with the right food...a classic with white flesh fish in a citris sauce. Great performer in the price range.
Possible retailers: Theo's, BWS, Woolworths Liquor.
