Pepperjack Grenache Rose 2005
Made by Saltram in Australia (region: Barossa Valley)
.
A dry, still, rosé wine with 14% alchohol tasted on 25th Dec 2007.
Grape: Grenache
Quality: Good
Value: Above Average
Cost: Usually between $18.99 - $22.99.
Looks: Bright vibrant crimson colour with a light looking body
Smells: Ripe cherry ripe and redskins (the lolly - remember them?)
Feels: Light bodied
Tastes: This is more like it! Overtly fruity and lolly-like but in a good way. Raspebrry and sweet cherry lolly. Long finish. Enough acidity to keep it from being sweet and cloying - this is a dry wine still after all. Well made, well done!
Possible retailers: Vintage Cellars, Dan Murphy's, Kemeny's, 1st Choice.
