Bishop By Ben Glaetzer 2006
Made by Glaetzer WInes in Australia (region: Barossa Valley)
.
A dry, still, red wine with 14.5% alchohol tasted on 30th Dec 2007.
Grape: Shiraz
Quality: Good
Value: Okay
Cost: Usually between $28.99 - $29.99.
Looks: Very black and full bodied
Smells: Plummy, black, tarry
Feels: Full bodied
Tastes: Credit to Glaetzer - this wine if their budget, but it tastes in a very similar style the their best - Amon-Ra. But, simpler - as you would expect. Plummy ripe fruit, surrounded in a dark choc coating. A bit short - if you like Barossa Shiraz you will like this wine, but for me there is not enough going on for higher ratings.
Possible retailers: Vintage Cellars, Nick's Vintage Direct, Dan Murphy's, Kemeny's.
