Howard Park Riesling

Howard Park Riesling 2006

Made by Howard Park in Australia (region: Great Southern) .

A dry, still, white wine with 12% alcohol tasted on 12th Jan 2008.

Grape: Riesling

Quality: Very Good

Value: Good

Cost: Usually between $18.99 - $24.99.

Looks: Very pale and clear, very slight green edge and light looking

Smells: Lemons, with a hint of rind

Feels: Light

Tastes: This is a Riesling that is all about fruit. Lemons all over it, with a dash of lemon rind thrown in and a talcum powder tone. Nice mineral line going through it, but not dominant - no real flint or stone in this one. Solid length - a real summer's drink.

Possible retailers: Vintage Cellars, Dan Murphy's, Kemeny's, Winestar, 1st Choice.
