Shaw And Smith Sauvignon Blanc 2007
Made by Shaw And Smith in Australia (region: Adelaide Hills)
.
A dry, still, white wine with 13% alchohol tasted on 20th Jan 2008.
Grape: Sauvignon Blanc
Quality: Very Good
Value: Okay
Cost: Usually between $24.99 - $28.99.
Looks: Very clear and bright with very slight green edge
Smells: Unloads with passionfruit, gooseberry and kiwi fruit tones
Feels: Light
Tastes: It has to be a special Sauvignon Blanc to interest me, and this one fits the bill. Because you see it is all about the tropical fruit for me - and this has it in spades! Pineapple, passionfruit, kiwi and gooseberry are all over this wine, backed by a nice line of herby grassy tones that encase the fruit and support it - not dominate the wine and make it taste like a chinese tea! Massive length for a Savvy as well. Class act.
