Picardy Pinot Noir 2004
Made by Picardy in Australia (region: Pemberton)
.
A dry, still, red wine with 13% alchohol tasted on 21st Jan 2008.
Grape: Pinot Noir
Quality: Very Good
Value: Okay
Cost: Usually between $29.99 - $38.99.
Looks: Dark red in colour, and light medium in body
Smells: Red cherry and a hint of raspberry - fruit driven
Feels: Light to medium
Tastes: What a surprise - I dunno what I expected, but not a wine this good! Very fruit driven Pinot with red cherry, raspberry edge and a hint of plums. A vanilla cage of well done oak helps flesh this wine out and a massive finish keeps it going. Pinot of the ripe fruity fleshy kind - and I cannot recommend it enough!
Possible retailers: Vintage Cellars, Kemeny's, 1st Choice.
