Yering Station Pinot Noir 2006
Made by Yering Station in Australia (region: Yarra Valley)
.
A dry, still, red wine with 13.5% alchohol tasted on 30th Jan 2008.
Grape: Pinot Noir
Quality: Good
Value: Okay
Cost: Usually between $19.99 - $26.99.
Looks: Vibrant purple colour, but not quite totally deep. Light in look
Smells: Violets, slightly floral and a little raspberry
Feels: Light
Tastes: Good fresh acids with a real violet bent - raspberry and strawberry are there, and a slight pencil tone. Length is good. This is a refined, cool refreshing Pinot - there is not a lot of body through the middle, but this is solid value and good buying.
Possible retailers: Vintage Cellars, Cellar Door, Dan Murphy's, First Estate, Kemeny's, 1st Choice.
