Taylor's Chardonnay 2006
Made by Taylor's in Australia (region: Clare Valley)
.
A dry, still, white wine with 14% alchohol tasted on 18th Feb 2008.
Grape: Chardonnay
Quality: Below Par
Value: A Little Excessive
Cost: Usually between $9.00 - $18.00.
Looks: Light gold in colour and medium in body
Smells: Grapey and slightly oaky
Feels: Medium
Tastes: Chardonnay grows everywhere, like a weed. For such a great producer who does amazing things for so little money, this wine really is not one of them. Bland, lifeless and flabby whilst having acid at the same time (I can't really explain this dichotomy sorry) this wine really is tough to get through by the second glass. Needs more zip, needs more flavour.
Possible retailers: Vintage Cellars, BWS, Woolworths Liquor, Liquorland, Dan Murphy's, First Estate, 1st Choice.
