Tamburlaine Member's Reserve Merlot Cabernet 2005
Made by Tamburlaine in Australia (region: Hunter Valley)
.
A dry, still, red wine with 13% alchohol tasted on 9th Apr 2008.
Grape: Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot
Quality: Good
Value: Okay
Cost: Usually between $19.99 - $28.99.
Looks: Dark black colour, very purple - only just see through - and medium bodied
Smells: Darkly fruity - berries
Feels: Medium bodied
Tastes: Usually, this wine is the poorer performer in the Tamburlaine red wine stable. So I had no high hopes when I popped the top on it. But wow, what a drinkable wine this is! Juicy dark berry fruit with good earthy structure and chewy, sandy tannins and a long meaty length - what an enjoyable drink.
Possible retailers: Cellar Door.
