.
A dry, still, red wine with 13.5% alchohol tasted on 12th May 2008.
Grape: Shiraz
Quality: Outstanding
Value: Okay
Cost: Usually between $49.99 - $59.99.
Looks: Medium bodied with a lovely red glow
Smells: Complex. Spicey and earthy - a real dry smell. Some light red fruit
Feels: Medium bodied
Tastes: Wow. For some reason I have not really had the Seppelt top reds. On tasting this, I wonder why the hell not? This is fantastic. Complex, spicey, earth and pepper with a casing of fresh livey red berry fruit, and lovely chewy interesting tannins. Length is incredibly long. A wine of class and breeding that would make those of the Northern Rhone sit up and take notice.
Possible retailers: Vintage Cellars, Cellar Door, Dan Murphy's, Kemeny's, Winestar.
