Grosset Springvale Watervale Riesling 2007
Made by Grosset in Australia (region: Clare Valley)
.
A dry, still, white wine with 13% alchohol tasted on 5th Jun 2008.
Grape: Riesling
Quality: Very Good
Value: Okay
Cost: Usually between $39.00 - $49.00.
Looks: Clear and bright, with a light looking body and some green edges
Smells: Zippy fresh mineral tones
Feels: Light
Tastes: This is a lovely wine, but certainly not a standout Grosset Riesling. This is judging it in high company though - compared to most Rieslings of this price point it is still good buying. Lime and lemon tones, zippy acidiy and some mineral water type tones make this a lovely drink. Slightly light on length compared to previous vintages.
Possible retailers: Vintage Cellars, Dan Murphy's, Kemeny's, Winestar.
