Queen Adelaide Riesling 2003
Made by Woodley Wines in Australia.
A dry, still, white wine with 13.5% alcohol tasted on 1st Dec 2004.
Grape: Riesling
Quality: Below Par
Value: Okay
Cost: Usually between $6.99 - $9.99.
Looks: Clear, pale yellow and heavier looking than many light wines.
Smells: A fair strength of citrus, steel and a light gas type aroma of carbon dioxide.
Feels: Heavier than most riesling at this price, but still light.
Tastes: A strangely short flavour, with an almost unidentifiable fruit taste the only thing that lingers...and even that is pretty short. Quite a hot finish.
This is just a bit unbalanced. But it IS cheap!
Possible retailers: Vintage Cellars, Theo's, BWS, Woolworths Liquor, Liquorland, Nick's Vintage Direct, Porters, Dan Murphy's, First Estate, Kemeny's.
