Warrabilla Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2006
Made by Warrabilla in Australia (region: Rutherglen)
.
A dry, still, red wine with 14.5% alcohol tasted on 22nd Aug 2008.
Grape: Cabernet Sauvignon
Quality: Good
Value: Okay
Cost: Usually between $24.99 - $26.99.
Looks: Black colour, good purple stickiness on the glass, and full bodied
Smells: Ripe blackcurrant with some good earth tones
Feels: Full bodied
Tastes: No coincidence that this wine in the stable tastes lightyears ahead of the Reserve Shiraz and is 14.5% alcohol. Although still a big wine, it is so much better balanced. Nice thick blackcurrant tones, good earthy foundation and slick tannins. Nice wine.
Possible retailers: Cellar Door / Web Site, Nick's Vintage Direct.
