Rothbury Wine Society Members Sparkling Shiraz NV
Made by Rothbury in Australia.
A dry, sparkling, red wine with 12% alcohol tasted on 15th Jan 2005.
Grape: Shiraz
Quality: Good
Value: Good
Cost: Usually between $12.99 - $14.99.
Looks: A purple red colour, heavy on the large bubbled froth!
Smells: A solid cherry syrup.
Feels: Light and fizzy!
Tastes: Long on the cherry syrup flavour, but still with a fair body of acid and tannin in balance. Dry, but has that sweet front end.
Solid, all-round sparkling red quaffer, available from the Cellar Door or their wine club.
Possible retailers: Cellar Door / Web Site.
