A dry, still, white wine with 13.5% alcohol tasted on 16th Oct 2008.

Grape: Chardonnay

Quality: Good

Value: A Little Excessive

Cost: Usually between $30.00 - $30.00.

Looks: Not so fully golden as many a Chardy, and not so ful bodied either - perhaps just glancing medium

Smells: Fresh, almost racy on the nose, but bugger me if you can make out what it might be

Feels: Medium bodied

Tastes: This Chardy is on the racier side of the coin, although there is some very slight cheesy complexity on the finish. (Good thing, honest.) Fruit is subdued, oak and lees are whirling around looking for a home in the whole at the moment. Funny - tastes younger than it really is, and I think a year will help it find its feet. When it does, I expect it to be solid drinking and still zippy enough for food.
