Seppelt Victorian Premium Reserve Shiraz 2002
Made by Seppelt in Australia.
A dry, still, red wine with 14.5% alcohol tasted on 23rd Jan 2005.
Grape: Shiraz
Quality: Good
Value: Good
Cost: Usually between $12.99 - $17.30.
Looks: Dark black / ruby, if there is such a colour. Heavy looking.
Smells: Powerful and full, with both red and bacl berries, dark oak, and spice.
Feels: Full and brooding.
Tastes: Full vanilla and choc wood, ripe blackcurrant juiciness, with a long, dark dry finish. Pretty classy.
This is one of those wines I think of straight away when I get the classic question "What is a good, cheap red?"
Possible retailers: Vintage Cellars, Theo's, Liquorland, Porters, First Estate.
