Avenue Shiraz 2005
Made by Avenue Wines in Australia (region: Clare Valley)
.
A dry, still, red wine with 15% alcohol tasted on 6th Mar 2009.
Grape: Shiraz
Quality: Good
Value: Above Average
Cost: Usually between $20.00 - $20.00.
Looks: Dark red colour, with a full look to it
Smells: Solid nose of mulberry and cocoa
Feels: Full bodied
Tastes: This is a deeply flavoured wine in the mouth, though slightly overripe in flavour. Mulberry and plummy tones with licorice and cocoa and a warm meaty finish. Tannins are a little chunky, but still quite soft. Finishes slightly short, but this is still a good wine.
