Pitchfork Pink 2008
Made by Hayshed Hill in Australia (region: Margaret River)
.
A dry, still, rosé wine with 12.5% alcohol tasted on 17th Apr 2009.
Grape: Cabernet Sauvignon
Quality: Okay
Value: Okay
Cost: Usually between $16.99 - $18.99.
Looks: Pink red - glowing and light
Smells: Ripe red berry lollies
Feels: Light
Tastes: We have had a great run of dry, complex pink wines. This is not really one of them, but there is quality fruit floating around in this - if the sugar content drops a little, I would not mind betting there is a very good wine hiding here. As it is the sugary fruit coating hides this fact. But this is easy to drink and inoffensive - so worth a punt if there are no better options on the shelf.
Possible retailers: Woolworths Liquor, Dan Murphy's, 1st Choice.
