Kalleske Greenock Shiraz 2007
Made by Kalleske in Australia (region: Barossa Valley)
.
A dry, still, red wine with 15% alcohol tasted on 3rd Jul 2009.
Grape: Shiraz
Quality: Very Good
Value: Okay
Cost: Usually between $38.00 - $38.00.
Looks: Dark black red colour, with a full bodied look.
Smells: Both black and red fruit and some choc/cocoa nose
Feels: Full bodied
Tastes: A lovely wine. Good acidity through the centre giving it great length and freshness, surrounded by great quality ripe plush plummy fruit and the usual Barossan cage of coffee and chocolate. But there is a hint of pepper and cloves and some lovely meaty tones giving this a great complexity and interest. Very very solid and enjoyable drinking.
Possible retailers: Cellar Door / Web Site, Dan Murphy's.
