Torzi Matthews Schist Rock Riesling 2008
Made by Torzi Matthews in Australia (region: Eden Valley)
.
A dry, still, white wine with 12% alcohol tasted on 22nd Jun 2009.
Grape: Riesling
Quality: Outstanding
Value: Outstanding
Cost: Usually between $15.00 - $18.00.
Looks: Clear, bright and light
Smells: Citrus and a hint of flint
Feels: Light
Tastes: What a cracking wine. Lovely orange and lemon citrus tones, a subtle flintiness and a real length. Mouthfeel has a very slight hint of talcum powder. Acidity is zesty without being trying. I would drink this all day long...if alcohol did not have certain side effects!
Possible retailers: Cellar Door / Web Site, Winestar.
