A dry, still, red wine with 12.5% alcohol tasted on 31st Dec 2004.
Grape: Cabernet Sauvignon Grenache Tempranillo
Quality: Unpleasant
Value: Ouch!
Cost: Usually between $13.95 - $14.95.
Looks: Dull orange red, light looking.
Smells: Dusty, dry and restrained.
Feels: Light
Tastes: Dull, boring, dry and dusty, the fruit has all but disappeared from this wine and taken the acid along with it. It does have some semblance of tannin.
Spanish wine at its best is full and juicy - this is not.
I really hope this bottle was spoiled on the trip out from Spain in some hot container. If not - then youch!
