Brown Brothers Barbera 2002
Made by Brown Brothers in Australia (region: King Valley)
.
A dry, still, red wine with 14.5% alcohol tasted on 31st Dec 2004.
Grape: Barbera
Quality: Good
Value: Above Average
Cost: Usually between $13.50 - $16.98.
Looks: Heavy, full ruby red colour. Not as deep as you would expect.
Smells: Dark, earthy cherry.
Feels: Actually lighter when tasted than it appears.
Tastes: Full dark plum and cherry fruit, with a nice edge of charcoal and tar. Good and long. This may not be too everyone's taste - some will think it is not heavy enough, some will shrink away from the charry character.
But some will happily swill it all day long!
Possible retailers: Vintage Cellars, Theo's, BWS, Woolworths Liquor.
