Metala Shiraz Cabernet 2002
Made by Saltram Wine Estate in Australia (region: Langhorne Creek)
.
A dry, still, red wine with 13.5% alcohol tasted on 31st Dec 2004.
Grape: Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz
Quality: Okay
Value: Above Average
Cost: Usually between $12.99 - $14.99.
Looks: Deep red burgundy - a real "reddish" coloured wine!
Smells: Medium in intensity, with cherry and cinnamon, as well as a little pepper.
Feels: Quite full in body.
Tastes: Dry cherry, pepper and spice. Good length, where the pepper dominates. A good buy, and a good, reliable standard bearer every vintage. I feel a bit harsh giving it only OK in Quality...
Possible retailers: Vintage Cellars, Theo's, BWS, Woolworths Liquor, Liquorland.
