The Wilson Vineyard Pink Poppy Rosé 2009
Made by The Wilson Vineyard in Australia (region: Clare Valley)
.
A dry, still, rosé wine with 11% alcohol tasted on 24th Oct 2009.
Grape: Shiraz
Quality: Good
Value: Above Average
Cost: Usually between $18.99 - $20.00.
Looks: Very pale salmon pink, very light looking
Smells: Nice nose of raspberry lollies and strawberry
Feels: Light
Tastes: An initial raspberry lolly flavour gives away to a nice fresh, lifting strawberry acidity that balances the wine nicely. The finish is a mixture of strawberry acids and a hint of citrus and fair length. Perhaps there was a little green tinge in flavour, but this is still a good pink wine.
Possible retailers: Cellar Door / Web Site.
