The Wilson Vineyard Stonecraft Cabernet Sauvignon 2006
Made by The Wilson Vineyard in Australia (region: Clare Valley)
.
A dry, still, red wine with 14.5% alcohol tasted on 21st Oct 2009.
Grape: Cabernet Sauvignon
Quality: Okay
Value: A Little Excessive
Cost: Usually between $21.95 - $24.95.
Looks: Black purple, full bodied looking wine
Smells: Quite green on the nose - perhaps some olive tones as well
Feels: Full bodied
Tastes: Full bodied, chewy and gritty tannins and even a fair length. However, it does need to be noted that there is a fair amount of 'green' unripe flavours here. Herby, minty and almost a bit sappy. If you like full bodied cabernet with some tapanade tones that also has a really dominant green tone, then you will like this.
