Yelland & Papps Delight Grenache Shiraz 2008
Made by Yelland & Papps in Australia (region: Barossa Valley)
.
A dry, still, red wine with 14.5% alcohol tasted on 1st Nov 2009.
Grape: Grenache Shiraz
Quality: Good
Value: Above Average
Cost: Usually between $19.95 - $19.95.
Looks: Solid red/black colour, with a full bodied look to it
Smells: Plummy and smoky
Feels: Full body
Tastes: Barossa ripe plummy fruit gives way to coffee and choc tones pretty quickly, and a smoky edge. Finishes a little short with some very soft tannins. This is a good easy drinking Barossa style with a little heat through the finish, however still very well made, especially at the price point.
Possible retailers: Cellar Door / Web Site.
