Howard Park Riesling 2009
Made by Howard Park in Australia (region: Great Southern)
.
A dry, still, white wine with 12.5% alcohol tasted on 14th Nov 2009.
Grape: Riesling
Quality: Very Good
Value: Above Average
Cost: Usually between $25.00 - $25.00.
Looks: Light, greenish tinged clear colour
Smells: Lime citrus
Feels: Light
Tastes: Arguably not as approachable as previous vintage with a harder line of lime acidity and a little more stony flinty tones than I have had before in this label. I am actually wondering what this will do with some age, and my wondering pretty much settles on "It can't hurt it!" Good length, good food wine, and with a little more stony flavour than usual for the Clare Valley Riesling lovers to cross over with.
Possible retailers: Vintage Cellars, BWS, Cellar Door / Web Site, Dan Murphy's, Kemeny's, Winestar, 1st Choice.
