Setanta Wines Cuchulain Shiraz 2007
Made by Setanta Wines in Australia (region: Adelaide Hills)
.
A dry, still, red wine with 13.5% alcohol tasted on 11th Jan 2010.
Grape: Shiraz
Quality: Good
Value: A Little Excessive
Cost: Usually between $26.99 - $32.99.
Looks: Cherry red, quite a good glowing colour, medium to full body
Smells: Actually quite closed - maybe a hint of dry spice
Feels: Medium to full bodied
Tastes: Fruit is lean, with some red cherry and a hint of plum. Nice dry spice tones, then a nice meaty finish. Tannins are subtle but firm. Perhaps a little short, this wine has seen some prominent shelf position in VC's at the moment - those who want Irish Mythology with their red should check it out!
