Cutaway Hill Sauvignon Blanc 2008
Made by Cuttaway Hill in Australia (region: Southern Highlands)
.
A dry, still, white wine with 13% alcohol tasted on 14th Jan 2010.
Grape: Sauvignon Blanc
Quality: Very Good
Value: Good
Cost: Usually between $18.99 - $22.99.
Looks: Clear and bright, with flashes of green and a light body
Smells: Grassy nose, but with a real freshness that appeals
Feels: Light
Tastes: What is going on? Another Savvy Blanc that I like? Honestly, what is the world coming too? This is grassy, but in an intrusive chloroformy way - grassy but not green if there is such a thing? Fruits are not really tropical in ripeness either, but more lean lychee and kiwi. Length is good. A food Sauvignon Blanc, if there is such a thing.
Possible retailers: Cellar Door / Web Site.
