Coriole Vineyards Sangiovese 2002
Made by Coriole in Australia (region: McLaren Vale)
.
A dry, still, red wine with 13.5% alcohol tasted on 5th Jan 2005.
Grape: Sangiovese
Quality: Good
Value: Above Average
Cost: Usually between $16.98 - $19.98.
Looks: Medium in body, heavier than you expect Sangiovese to be, with a red crimson tone.
Smells: A good juicy cherry aroma.
Feels: Light, the look of the weight is deceiving.
Tastes: Raspberry and cherry on the front, followed by a drying hint of spicy wood and choc. One of those nice combinations of juicy fruit and drying length with a nice line of tannin.
Possible retailers: Vintage Cellars, Theo's, BWS.
